COACH RESOURCES

  Citrus Heights Little League is always on the lookout for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to manage and coach our players.  Experience is preferred, but not required.  We'll provide training, support, and resources needed to help you succeed!  The best volunteers are those who bring joy to the game just by being themselves. 

  A Coaches role is to create a safe environment where kids can learn baseball, develop skills, and grow as a team. Be competitive, but most importantly—have fun!

BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS:

There's always some confusion in regards to clearing the background check.  We know this can be a hassle, but it is an easy process, and it's done so that we can assure that all of our players are in a safe environment.

There are 4 steps that MUST be completed.  

STEP 1:  Complete a NEW “Volunteer Application” every Spring.

Each Spring all volunteers must submit a new (this includes the Board of Directors) "Volunteer Application".

***Do NOT include your SSN on the application.  You will provide it through the secured JDP Background check link***

STEP 2:  Submit the completed “Volunteers Application” 

Please submit your completed volunteer form (make sure to provide an email address and sign the application), along with a copy of a valid ID, to Forms@CitrusHeightsLL.com   

STEP 3:  Complete the Background Check via Secured Email Link 

Once we’ve received your completed volunteer application, a secured link will be emailed to you (from "JDP", on behalf of CHLL).  Follow the prompts to complete your background check. 

STEP 4:  Complete the LIVE-SCAN Background Check  

California recently made a new law/regulation, that all youth sports organizations MUST Live-Scan their Volunteers.  Even if you've complete this process recently for school, work, etc., it must be done specifically for CHLL.  

Our Safety Officer will provide you with the information needed to complete this step.
